Community Partnerships & Programs

Building a community where everyone has the opportunity to live, work, and thrive.

The Gateway Neighborhood is a vibrant 48-block community along the Raritan River in Perth Amboy, NJ — home to 5,639 residents, predominantly Hispanic, immigrant, and low-to-moderate income. Since 2012, PARTNER NJ has served as the lead organization for revitalization efforts in this neighborhood, guided by a 10-year community-informed plan developed in 2021 with residents, partner organizations, and New Jersey Community Capital.

PARTNER’s revitalization approach is comprehensive: it addresses housing stability, economic opportunity, education, health, social connection, and cultural pride. The Gateway Neighborhood Collaborative (GNRC) brings together dozens of partner organizations to implement this vision and ensure every resident has access to the resources and support they need.
